Pimping. :D

[livejournal.com profile] sydian wrote for me The Secret Way.
It's a beautiful Charlie/Don story. (contains slash and incest ;)) This drabble is just lovely. She asked for some kinks. I wanted hands and eyes. This story is just perfect for hands and eyes lovers. *g*
Thanks so much hun! :) *hugs*

And now three dark fiction stories I've read today. Potterverse.

[livejournal.com profile] nekare wrote Hold Your Last Breath for [livejournal.com profile] darkones's challenge: Unhappy Endings. A story about the end of the war implied character deaths, Ron/Hermione and a really unhappy ending for the trio. As always nekare's writing is amazing. The words are full of poetry and pain. This story made me stunnig and scared the hell out of me! Great job my dear. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] geekwriter143 wrote Into This Night I Wander for [livejournal.com profile] wordclaim50 (btw. a great fanfiction comunity). Her own summary: 'In which Harry's confused, Hermione's happy, and Ron's pretty fucked up.'
It's a post war story, ships Harry/Ron (and Hermione/Neville) and one of the best stories I've ever read. The post war scenery was pefect because sure everyone was save now but there's always a price to pay. This price here was life, friends, love and sanity. Not just Harry is the Boy-who-lived who saved the world Ron aswell has a burden to carry being a hero. This story made me laugh because some parts were adorably funny but mostly it was just sad and beautiful. I'm still shivering.

[livejournal.com profile] marklarmonkey wrote And We All Fall Down. Set during the war and centred on the trio but implies Ron/Hermione. This fic seems so more realistic in the emotional way than the happy family ones. Because a war destroys people and families.
It's angst and sad. It's hurts to see them falling apart. Maybe this - giving up their own world - is the price they have to pay to save this world. Really beautiful and heartbreaking!

I hope you enjoy them just as I did. :)
I think these Harry Potter stories are fitting perfectly with the Half Blood Prince I'm reading. I have two major thoughts: "Omg this is war!" and "Omg this is funny!". It's all about the prophecy, loss and mysteries. But at the same time it's just fun to read about the trio. I can't wait to see the movie because Rupert is gonna do a great job with Ron's expression. *grin* (Ignore the fangirl. :P)

ETA: Just read a great Draco/Harry death fic. Set during the end of war - [livejournal.com profile] fickitten's You Win, You Lose. It's a great Draco POV implied one of the best and most simple sentences I've ever read: The war has been won, but everyone's lost. It's just the whole point of war.
To bring the pimping to an end I just quote:
"Draco?" Potter whispers.

It's only the second time he's heard his real name, not his surname, fall from Potter's lips.

"What, Potter?"

"Is it over?"

Draco fights down the urge to break into hysterical laughter, a maelstrom of emotion swirling through his veins. So many things are over now.

Potter, though, means Voldemort. He knows he only has a few minutes left, Draco can read that in his eyes, but he'll only let go when he knows he's fulfilled his purpose, and Draco's strangely glad that he can be the one to give him this.

"It's over," he confirms briefly. "Voldemort's dead, Harry."

So destiny will be fulfilled - I guess. ;)
